The Quarantine Arrangements

“I began arranging music during all of my free time in quarantine, just exploring pieces or songs that I was naturally drawn to. Composing or arranging is something I’d never done before, and developing these arrangements was a lot of fun.”

“My solo violin homage to Joe Hisaishi’s song “One Summer’s Day” from Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli’s film Spirited Away
(千と千尋の神隠し), written and recorded on March 18, 2020, during (and a product of) my coronavirus quarantine. Hope you can look past my not-great bedroom acoustics and enjoy one of the most beautiful songs ever!”

“Produced in self-isolation during the COVID-19 outbreak in NYC. No cello? No problem!”

“My interpretation of one of my favorite songs, Joni Mitchell’s “Blue” from her album of the same name. Original composition written March 29, 2020 during the coronavirus outbreak in NYC and recorded in my apartment.”

“One of my favorite musical themes ever, from one of my favorite films of all time, Hayao Miyazaki’s Princess Mononoke (もののけ姫). If you haven’t seen it already, do so ASAP. It’s a true work of art. Music by Joe Hisaishi, who is a master in his own right.”

“My arrangement of Bach’s Sarabande from the G Major French Suite for keyboard, BWV 816. Recorded in my closet in New York City during quarantine, May 2020. One of my favorite movements of Bach’s; I hope it brings some light into your day :)”

“This song came out a few days ago and I thought it deserved a solo violin arrangement!
Written and recorded by me on May 9, 2020.”
