Miami String Quartet Master Class Coming soon

The rumors are true:  Miami String Quartet is coming to Fort Collins, Colorado! Known as a highly acclaimed, internationally recognized, and award winning string quartet, PYCh is proud to announce featured guests, Miami String Quartet, in our fourth annual OFF the HOOK Chamber Music Festival.  Opening the festival, in a week’s residency, we are honored to additionally announce Miami String Quartet’s Master Class, Friday, June 19th, 9:00am – 12:00pm.


Miami-159-hrCommitted to furthering the musical education of young musicians nationwide, Miami String Quartet (MSQ) values this intensive, public music lesson as a chance for students to learn from their peers’ valuable teaching moments. The call to register for the MSQ’s Master Class is extended throughout the tri-state area to advanced middle and high school groups, as well as college level pre-formed groups.

Albert Einstein is credited with saying, “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge”, and able to learn from some of the best, the information, memories, and experience these young musicians can take away from a class with the Miami String Quartet is sure to creatively enrich and stay with them throughout their lives and musical paths.

Registration opens January 02, 2015 with a $40 group registration fee. The deadline to register is May 08, 2015 but space is limited and groups will be accepted on first come, first serve basis, so act quickly! Also please note that our local collaborative partner, Just Chamber Music, will be offering their program participants free registration as a performing group.
