Orbit the Arts – Tunes & Tales Live

Tunes & Tales - SummerFest Academy Program

Tunes & Tales Live is a half- hour show created for children ages 18 months to 8 years old. During this interactive show, kids will meet Colorado published picture book authors or illustrators and hear them read their stories out-loud. Plus, kids will get their wiggles out to live music performed by Colorado musicians. Kids, this show is for you!



Denver author/ illustrator : Tiemdow Phumiruk

Tiemdow Phumiruk is an author and illustrator of children’s books. She is originally from Thailand but grew up in the United States. She now lives in the Lone Tree, Colorado with her husband, girls, and assorted small pets. When she is not creating, Dow teaches medical students and enjoys hiking. She is a member of the Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and is represented by East West Literary Agency. Artbydow.blogspot.com

Assistant principal cellist for the Fort Collins Symphony, cellist: Heidi Mausbach

Heidi Mausbach is assistant principal cellist the Fort Collins Symphony, Promusica Colorado, and the Cheyenne Symphony. Heidi frequently performs in other ensembles along the front-range including Greeley Philharmonic and FrontRange Chamber Players. An active teacher, she maintains a private studio in Fort Collins and is the cello instructor at Front Range Community College. Heidi also coaches young musicians at Off the Hook Arts Chamber Music academy and each summer with Just Chamber Music.
