Em Smith

Cello
Cellist, Em Smith, is a graduate of Colorado State University with a master’s degree in cello performance and an emphasis in pedagogy. She also played with the Graduate Chamber Music Program at CSU. Her undergraduate studies at University of Wyoming resulted in bachelor’s degrees in both cello performance and music education. She currently plays with the Cheyenne Symphony and the Longmont Symphony. Em is a freelance musician and teacher who has also performed locally with the Greeley Philharmonic, and the Front Range Chamber Players. Em has taught private cello lessons for nine years. She has previously taught with the University of Wyoming String Project in Laramie and North End Music Performing Arts Center in Boston. In her free time, she tries her hand at the New York Times crosswords and bakes.
