Kathy Hansen, pianist, is originally from Richland, Washington. Her Bachelor’s degree is from Washington State University and she did her Masters work at the University of Iowa. She spent time in New York City as a rehearsal accompanist for various smaller opera companies and later spent time in Seattle, Washington playing for rehearsals for Seattle Opera. Kathy and her husband, Randie Blooding, spent time in Ithaca, NY where he served on the faculty of The Ithaca College School of Music and now live in his hometown of Fort Collins where they have both enjoyed remaining in the opera field. Randie has directed several productions for Opera Fort Collins and Kathy has served as accompanist for those productions.
