Mitch Smith

Cello
Cellist, Mitch Smith, is a graduate of Colorado State University with a master’s degree in cello performance and an emphasis in pedagogy. He also played with the Graduate Chamber Music Program at CSU. His undergraduate studies at University of Wyoming resulted in bachelor’s degrees in both cello performance and music education. He currently plays with the Cheyenne Symphony and the Longmont Symphony. Mitch is a freelance musician and teacher who has also performed locally with the Greeley Philharmonic, and the Front Range Chamber Players. Mitch has taught private cello lessons for nine years. He has previously taught with the University of Wyoming String Project in Laramie and North End Music Performing Arts Center in Boston. In his free time, he tries his hand at the New York Times crosswords and bakes.
