My love for music and teaching has turned into a lifelong pursuit of helping children
and adults discover their love for music.
In the many places I’ve lived over the past 40+ years, I have continuously taught private lessons in piano and voice and have had several opportunities to bring music to different communities. As a rancher in South Dakota and Oregon, I substituted as a music teacher in the local public schools, accompanied choirs, and entered students in competitions at university. While living in California, I helped create a music program at a local school where none existed. Currently, I am an active participant in associations and events that support music
educators and students.
Currently, I’m a member and former board member of the Fort Collins Music Teachers Association, supporting education for teachers through monthly presentations from experts in various disciplines. I’m also a member of Colorado State Music Teachers Association and NMTA. Both support teachers at the local level through ongoing education, conferences, and master classes.
