Deanna Mae - Off the Hook Arts SummerFest 2020

Presenter

Deanna Mae brings 12 years of diverse performance and teaching experience to you. She grew up in New York where she attended Mount Saint Mary College and received her B.A. in Elementary and Special Education with a M.A. in Literacy (Birth-Grade 6). Deanna has trained and studied under several vocal and acting coaches in NY and CO. She’s living her dream by sharing her love of story, music and the arts by being a local theatre teacher and performer. Deanna serves several schools and organizations around the Fort Collins area and fills up her summer with countless theater camps for children ages 3-18. She teaches English Kindergarten at Axis International Academy, one of FoCo’s newest charter schools.

Deanna recently directed Act II’s, Fort Collins Children’s Theatre’s newest program, production of Singin’ in the Rain (June 2019). She co-directed an original play, En Route, at the 2018 Fort Collins' Fringe Festival that won 1st place for the Artist's Choice Award. Local performances include Belle in FCCT’s Beauty & the Beast, Amanda and Belle in La-De-Da’s A Musical Christmas Carol, Aquata in FCCT’s The Little Mermaid, and Gertrude in FCCT’s Seussical. Deanna serves on the Fort Collins Children’s Theater board and volunteers with Fort Collins Read Aloud. She calls Fort Collins home with her daughter and fur-babies. Her main objective is to cultivate children’s innate creativity to come forth through the arts and inspire families to play, connect and create together.
