Oboe

Born into a family of classical musicians in New York, NY, Noah began playing the oboe at age 15. He completed his Bachelor of Music degree at the Eastman School of Music in 2016, having studied with Richard Killmer, and in 2019, he received his Master’s at the Yale School of Music, having studied under Stephen Taylor.

Noah joined the Colorado Springs Philharmonic as principal oboe in the fall of 2017. He recently appeared as a fellow of the National Repertory Orchestra for the summer of 2018 in Breckenridge, CO. Noah has also toured with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, playing concerts in Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Washington D.C., as well as recorded an album of both Mendelssohn piano concerti with Jan Lisiecki under the Deutsche Grammophon label.

Enjoy the light sounds of Noah Kay playing "Dance of the Blessed Spirits" from Orfeo ed Euridice in Sprague Hall at the Yale School of Music. Daniel Overly is on piano with Noah Kay featured on oboe.
