Supporter Spotlight: New York Life

One of the most rewarding parts of the work that we do here at Off the Hook Arts is giving back to our community through the arts. We get a chance to spread music and the boundless healing music can bring to every community, especially in times like these. One of the ways we get to do this is through our Free Meadowlark Music Program.

The Meadowlark Music Program provides FREE private lessons designed for 1st-5th graders. The program is designed for families that want to provide the advantage of music education for their children but cannot currently afford it.

Our Meadowlark Music Program encourages elementary students to explore their musical interests and abilities on violin, guitar, or piano under the instruction of experienced, caring teachers in a safe group setting. Free instruments are provided while enrolled in the program if students do not have access to an instrument at home.

Meadowlark operates in collaboration with the Boys & Girls Club of Larimer County to help bolster our community impact. Community support matters. Community representation matters and community partnership is vital to our work and we want to give recognition to the companies that continue to support the arts in our community.

One of the most impactful influences in our ability to do this meaningful community work is generous grants from corporate funders including New York Life, which recently gave Off the Hook Arts a $15,000 Community Impact Grant.

New York Life is the largest mutual life insurance company in the United States and a Fortune 100 company and supports their employees and financial professionals by funding the nonprofit organizations with which they work. New York Life’s field employees and agents who serve as “champions” for a local nonprofit can apply for a competitive Community Impact Grant for their organization, ranging from $5,000 – $25,000.

Through New York Life’s thoughtful contribution, Off the Hook Arts’ Meadowlark Program can have a more substantial impact in our local community. Their $15,000 grant is allowing Off the Hook Arts to take action and spread selfless love by giving access to music lessons, musical instruments, and musical joy to children who may not otherwise have access. We think that’s unbelievably special, thank you New York Life for putting love into action to help our local community here in Northern Colorado.

OTHA is able to continue our Free Meadowlark Music Program through generous grants from companies like NewYorkLife. Off the Hook Arts is so fortunate to be a recipient of a $15,000 Community Impact Grant from New York Life.
