The Off the Hook Arts Chamber Music Academy began on Wednesday, September 13, 2017! Our Chamber Music Academy is rapidly growing! The Academy has 31 students this Fall semester, which is about a 1/3 increase over prior years.
One of Off the Hook Arts’ primary missions is to provide free and low cost music education to local youth. All students in the Chamber Music Academy receive either the low cost scholarship of $100 per semester, while some receive full scholarships. This semester we have 9 coaches teaching for a total of 12 weeks.
If you are a supporter of Off the Hook Arts, please come to the Chamber Music Academy end-of-semester concert on December 13th at 4:30pm at Ridgeview School and see for yourself what these students have accomplished in their training!
If you are new to Off the Hook Arts and are interested in potentially supporting our mission, we encourage you to attend this concert as well to see what our students accomplish! The concert is free and open to the public. There will be a potluck afterwards.
If you are interested in having your child participate in the Chamber Music Academy, registration is open for next semester! Students need to already be able to read music, and generally, 8 years old is a good rule of thumb minimum age to start the Chamber Music Academy.
