Flutist Colleen White performs in a wide variety of solo, orchestral, and chamber music settings across North America, including performances with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and as a core artist for Green Room Artists, a Boulder-based chamber music collective featuring new, underperformed works and interdisciplinary performances. She made her solo debut with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra at age 16.
As a teaching artist, Dr. White presents masterclasses regularly for universities nationwide and has held faculty positions at Colorado State University and the Metropolitan State University of Denver. She advises flutists nationally as a member of the National Flute Association’s Career and Artistic Development Committee. She earned degrees from the University of Colorado Boulder, The Hartt School, and the University of Wisconsin Madison.
A versatile performer and educator, Dr. White has presented recitals and masterclasses across the United States and abroad. She has been an Artist in Residence for the Atlantic Music Festival in Maine and performed orchestral and solo works in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. Since winning top awards in various concerto and young artist competitions, she was a semifinalist in the prestigious Myrna Brown Artist Competition and can be heard in solo and orchestral performances on Wyoming Public Radio and KGNU Boulder Radio.
